Human resource workers may want to start thinking about why their company's HR department is among the best in the field.  Or, if that list of accolades winds up a little short, HR professionals should at least get ready to learn from others.  That's because the process leading up to the HR Excellence Awards 2011 will soon begin.

A post on HR Magazine's site set the figurative scene by stating, "Now well and truly established as the key event for recognising talent in our industry, the much sought-after awards . . . recognise intuitive thinking, careful planning and the excellent execution of employee-focused schemes."

Then the post continued, "With 2011 being seen as a tough year for employees and employers alike..."
